Personal Insurance

• A client was purchasing their first home which was a bit of a "fixer-upper." At the last minute the bank pulled the financing due to the scope of work! We were able to quickly cancel the new insurance policy we had put in place and also pivot to a much nicer new home for the same insurance premium.

• A client with an ongoing building project for their brand new home was currently residing in a rental condo. We were able to extend liability coverage from their "temporary primary" residence to the home that was being built. This extension was very reasonably priced and meant they did not need to buy an additional liability policy for their construction project. 

• A family asked us to review their current policies for 15 rental properties that they own. We were able to save the family nearly $10,000 while INCREASING their coverage!

 

Business Insurance

Bar/Restaurant: Emmanuel Insurance was able to help a bar/restaurant in Phoenixville, PA. Their insurance had increased 40% due to a claim. We were able to take over the quoting process, and after having several conversations with our underwriters we were able to explain the reason for the claim and what's been done to eliminate those scenarios in the future, which allowed us to be able to negotiate pricing. Emmanuel was able to secure insurance for them with over $40,000 in annual savings, was able to assist with the implementation of a new employee handbook, and, most importantly, provide the professional representation they needed! 

 

WarehousingWarehousing: Emmanuel Insurance had a new client approach us for assistance with his renewal for their commercial warehouse with high hazard tenants in Philadelphia. A fire at one of the locations left him in a very bad position as the current carrier was non-renewing. We were called in with only 9 days to the renewal. The prior agent was not able to find the $17M limits in coverage needed to cover the risk properly or within the standards that the bank required. Through our upfront underwriting process, we were able to uncover that the prior agent submitted to market with some inaccuracies. A carrier that had originally declined the risk was able to open the file back up after receiving our important material information regarding the claim and remediation applied. Because of our partnership with this carrier and track record for diligent underwriting we were able provide the necessary terms and coverage, saving the client over $50K on what the renewal would have been had he not reached out to us.

 

electricianElectrician: An electrician reached out to Emmanuel to ask for quotes. When we saw the carriers he was with, we knew he was written incorrectly. We cut the auto premium in half, added coverage for his tools and equipment, added property coverage, fixed the payroll on the workers' compensation, added the workers' compensation and auto under umbrella (which was not covered by the previous umbrella), and combined 4 monthly bills into 1. We made all the effective dates coincide and gave him online access to do Certificates of Insurance. The best part? **He did not have to spend any additional premium.**

EntertainmentEntertainment establishment with liquor license: After full analysis of the current General liability and liquor liability coverage we saw:
• They had a small sublimit for assault and battery - we included full limits
• No abuse and molestation exclusion, which they had previously
• No punitive/exemplary damages exclusion vs what they had previously
• No exclusion for athletic/sports participants (key coverage given the mini golf) vs prior carrier excluding coverage
Emmanuel Insurance saved this business 12.5% on the cost of insurance while broadening their coverage. We also lowered their premium finance agreement from 12% to 7.9%. Lastly, we covered the exposure of EPLI and Cyber, which they didn't have coverage for prior to speaking with us.

 

daycareDaycare: A daycare owner came to Emmanuel Insurance with less than 15 days before his renewals. With a 40% increase in his rates, he was in a very bad position due to open claims that were increasing costs and limiting their ability to be insured through the standard marketplace. With logical reasoning around the claims and proactive actions to prevent the issues from occurring again, we were able to push back with the insurance carriers who previously declined to quote with other brokers. Going the extra mile for this client allowed us to secure better coverage with over $40K in annual savings.

 

Federally regulated businessFederally Regulated Business: A client came to Emmanuel Insurance with a hard-to-place business due to Federal regulation in their industry. 
As a consultant, they could not get access to coverage and had been trying for over a month without success. Sophia was able to procure coverage within 2 weeks and get them to the finish line on a contract worth over $150k. She was able to successfully negotiate different coverage limits and requirements on behalf of the client, ensuring the insurance met the contract, as well as the client's needs.

 


Life, Disability, LTC Insurance

Protecting a Growing Family: Emmanuel Insurance clients, Andrew and Sarah, were expecting their first baby in the fall. During our annual client review we discussed all current Life and Income Insurance coverages, as well as their changing goals and lifestyle. After our review together, we agreed that additional coverage would be necessary to protect all priorities within their growing family. Both husband and wife are of good health and in their mid-30s, so despite Sarah being 23 weeks pregnant we were able to have them both approved for the additional Life Insurance AND Disability Income Insurance using an Accelerated Underwriting Program. The entire process of securing their additional coverages took 15 days! Now our clients can focus on having a healthy and happy baby this fall and have peace of mind that their family is properly protected.
