Get to Know Jake Butler

July 2023 - We'd like to welcome Jake Butler to our team! Get to know Jake through these 10 fun questions.

1. Where is your favorite place to visit on vacation, or your favorite thing to do when you have time off?
   My favorite thing to do in my off time is to go surfing in Ocean City, NJ. I also love to surf when I'm at school at Monmouth University.
    
2. What is something interesting that you've learned within the past week?
   Something interesting that I have learned in the past week is that you shouldn't worry too much about things that are out of your control.
    
3. If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?
   If I could pick up a new skill in an instant, it would be to be bilingual in Spanish.
    
4. What is one surprising or interesting fact about you that people may not know about?
   One interesting fact about me is that I love to go back-country snowboarding out in Colorado.
    
5. What is the weirdest, most unorthodox, or most interesting job you've ever had?
   The most unorthodox job I had growing up was that I operated heavy equipment from a very young age such as excavators and wheel loaders all the way to bucket trucks.
    
6. When you were 10, what did you see yourself being when you grew up?
   When I was 10 I saw myself being a professional Football player.
    
7. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you want to meet... and what would you want to discuss?
   If I could meet anyone living or dead, it would be Elon Musk as he is one of the most entrepreneurial successes.
    
8. What was it about Emmanuel Insurance that made you decide it was a company of which you wanted to be a part?
   The very first day I came in to meet everyone was on their monthly team meeting and I instantly saw how close everyone was and they were more of a family than co-workers.
    
9. What are you enjoying the most about being a part of the Emmanuel team?
   I enjoy the way everyone supports one another, and it is a very positive workspace within the Emmanuel team.
    
10. What advice would you give to someone who is interested in joining the Emmanuel team?
    Just go for it, they are some of the most helpful people and will guide you in the right direction for success.
