Get to Know Jim Orsini

May 2024 - We'd like to welcome Jim Orsini to our team! Get to know Jim through these 10 fun questions.

  1. Where is your favorite place to visit on vacation, or your favorite thing to do when you have time off?
My favorite place to visit on vacation is any place along the coast, I love the beach. If I can get out and play some golf while I'm there then that's a big plus.

  2. What is the weirdest, most unorthodox, or most interesting job you've ever had?
I was once a cellar hand for a winery working the night shift - making wine is not an easy job!

  3. What is one surprising or interesting fact about you that people may not know about?
I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and just recently started learning to play piano.

  4. What's something you're planning on doing in the next year that you've never done?
I will be training for a 65 mile bike race! The race goes from the Ben Franklin Bridge to Atlantic City to help raise money for the families of fallen and critically injured first responders.

  5. If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?
    To fluently speak Mandarin Chinese.

  6. You have your own late night talk show - who do you invite as your first guest?
I would invite Mark Cuban, he's a billionaire with so much knowledge and I'm sure he has some great stories he could share as well.

  7. What is something interesting that you've learned within the past week?
I learned that lighters were invented before matches! Lighters were invented in 1823 and matches were not created until 1826!

  8. What advice would you give to someone who is interested in joining the Emmanuel team?
Do it! I have worked at many different companies of many different sizes in my career and have found the most satisfaction working at Emmanuel. We are at a sweet spot in terms of size to where we are large enough to be considered a force to be reckoned with but still have that intimate aspect to our agency. If you have visions or ideas they are heard and acted on, everyone at the agency is extremely caring and knowledgeable, this is a great place to learn and grow.

  9. What personal characteristic do you believe is key in order to be successful in your role at Emmanuel?
Charisma - meaningful communication is a key factor in being a successful agent so having the ability to be charismatic about my work and my clients will only lead to success.

  10. What was it about Emmanuel Insurance that made you decide it was a company of which you wanted to be a part?
The Emmanuel family. Emmanuel's motto is "We are family, and we will protect yours." From the moment I met Sophia, Jay T. and the Emmanuel team I knew this was something I wanted to be a part of. Everyone has a genuine interest in one another, and it makes work that much better when you know the people around you truly care about you.
