Get to Know Theresa Malinowski, CPIA

June 2021 - Learn a few fun and interesting facts about our Chief Operating Officer Theresa Malinowski, CPIA, who is our Featured Employee this month.

1. What's something that recently made you smile?
   Something that made me smile recently (and quite frequently) is seeing businesses getting back to it. It's been so great seeing people at restaurants and out-and-about, enjoying life! It's been wonderful for our family of clients to be able to get as close as possible to business as usual.
    
2. What is one surprising or interesting fact about you that people may not know about?
   I became naturally pregnant (no fertility or in-vitro drugs) with quadruplets about 18 years ago... all boys. They told me at the hospital I had a better chance of getting bit by a shark... out of water!
    
3. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you want to meet... and what would you want to discuss?
   I would want to meet Jesus and the things to discuss with Him are limitless!
    
4. Where is your favorite place to visit on vacation, or your favorite thing to do when you have time off?
   My favorite thing to do when I have time off is spend it with my boys, family and friends. I love to go to the beach, concerts, and sporting events.
    
5. When you were 10, what did you see yourself being when you grew up?
   When I was 10, I had dreams of becoming a pilot and a teacher.
    
6. What would you like to do when you retire?
   When I retire, I'd love to live at a beach (but also live close to my boys).
    
7. What personal characteristic do you believe is key in order to be successful in your role at Emmanuel?
   A few key characteristics to have in order to be successful in my role at Emmanuel are to be patient and a good listener... to be understanding.
    
8. What do you enjoy the most about your job?
   The people I get to work with on a daily basis is by far the most enjoyable part of my job! I am part of a unique group of individuals who care about each other and our clients... a team that also likes to have fun! Equally important is how we take care of our family of clients and give back to the community. I really believe in our mission and philosophies. I feel so blessed to be part of such an amazing company!
    
9. What advice would you give to someone looking to join the Emmanuel Team?
   The owners of Emmanuel Insurance are always looking to improve our agency for our family of clients and for the team of people who dedicate themselves to our mission. My advice would be to always communicate your ideas and vision, as they are always open to new concepts and ways of improving what we do every day.
